Deployment and lifecycle

Ship to testnets freely, to mainnet deliberately — and roll back to any verified version when you need to.

A deployment environment is a target with its own configuration, secrets, access policy and deployment history — for example development, test, staging, production or an isolated environment for a specific client. One environment can span several chains; chains and deployments are measured separately.

How deployments work

  • Aspect: What it is

    Testnet deployment
A versioned artefact sent to a test network and environment
    Mainnet deployment
A human-approved artefact sent to a production network
  • Aspect: What counts

    Testnet deployment
Each artefact + chain + environment combination
    Mainnet deployment
Each artefact + mainnet chain + environment combination
  • Aspect: Platform failures

    Testnet deployment
Not counted if the platform fails before sending
    Mainnet deployment
Not counted if not sent to the chain
  • Aspect: Network costs

    Testnet deployment
Test tokens, faucets and external quotas are not guaranteed
    Mainnet deployment
Gas is paid by the customer, including for reverted transactions
What it is
A controlled return to a previously verified and signed artefact version.
Counting
A rollback uses the rollback allowance only, not the deployment allowance.
Immutable contracts
Rollback is not guaranteed for contracts that cannot be changed on-chain.
Upgradeable contracts
Rollback applies only if storage-layout and permission checks pass.
Costs
Gas and external infrastructure fees are paid by the customer; failed rollbacks caused by the platform are not counted.
Monitoring
Real-time observation of deployed contracts and their environment.
Anomaly response
Unusual patterns are detected and answered with defensive measures.
Maintenance
Patches are prepared when needed, with upgrades applied smoothly and documentation kept current.

Together these turn a one-off delivery into a sustainable product: software that keeps producing value over years rather than going stale after launch.
