Strategic cards

Cards are the tools of the information battle — and their value depends on timing as much as power.

The core design defines 14 strategic cards with different cooldowns and strengths. Filter the named cards by what they do.

Card scope and rarity rates are consolidated into one final rule set before launch.

A card’s value comes from its relationships with others. A powerful attack can rebound on the attacker if the target holds an active reflection. Null Field can cancel every player’s individual advantage at a single moment. These mechanics ensure that holding the strongest card never automatically means having the strongest strategy.

Effectiveness depends on the rival’s defences, the current phase, proximity to the treasure, what you already know and when you act.

The extended catalogue grows the card universe to as many as 50 cards across eight categories, designed so that new strategic behaviour can keep being added.

Discovery
Gather information and detect players.
Defence
Protect yourself and mislead others.
Attack
Disrupt rivals’ progress.
Movement
Gain positional flexibility.
Control
Close off areas of the map.
Utility
Manage resources and cards.
Sabotage
Corrupt rivals’ information and limit their interface.
Legendary
Effects that reach across the entire playing field.

Cards are decision tools on an uncertain map, to be weighed by expected information gain and opportunity cost. Using a discovery card early can reduce uncertainty; saving it for the endgame can expose rivals who are near the treasure. Spending a strong defence early can leave you exposed at the critical moment.
